The Roman Catholic Church’s involvement in artificial intelligence is focused on ensuring that AI is developed and used ethically to serve humanity and promote the common good. This engagement comes primarily from the Vatican, which hosts expert conferences, publishes official documents, and issues statements from the Pope. The Church’s perspective emphasizes human dignity and advocates for robust, human-centered governance of the technology. The Vatican’s position on AI is primarily shaped by Pope Francis and institutions like the Pontifical Academy for Life. In January 2025, the Vatican released Antiqua et Nova, a document signed by Pope Francis that outlines the ethical challenges of AI.The Pontifical Academy for Life, together with tech giants Microsoft and IBM, published the “Rome Call” in 2020. This document proposes six ethical principles to guide AI development.

*Transparency: AI systems must be understandable.*Inclusion: AI should not discriminate and must serve all people. *Accountability: Humans must always be responsible for an AI’s actions. *Impartiality: AI systems must be unbiased. * Reliability: AI must function reliably. * Security and Privacy: AI must protect user data. *International regulation: Pope Francis has called for an international treaty to regulate AI development and has urged leaders to ban lethal autonomous weapons. He also repeatedly addressed world leaders at international forums, including the G7, to advocate for ethical AI use. Key ethical concerns raised by the Church Catholic teaching recognizes the potential benefits of AI but consistently warns against its risks to humanity, dignity, and societal well-being.

The cause of his death was officially registered as a stroke followed by irreversible cardiac arrest. Francis’s Requiem Mass was celebrated on 26 April, five days after his death, and he was buried at Santa Maria

Some of Pope Francis’s last words were a heartfelt expression …Pope Francis’ final words were, “Thank you for bringing me back to the Square” to his personal healthcare assistant, Massimiliano Strappetti, following his popemobile ride through St. Peter’s Square on Easter Sunday. After this, he rested, had a quiet dinner, and soon after, fell ill, eventually entering a coma and passing away. Pope Benedict was reluctant to take the Easter ride to greet his people but his healthcare assistant, Massimiliano Strappetti, encouraged him to make the appearance. After the successful ride, during which he was able to greet people and children, Francis expressed his thanks to Strappetti for bringing him to the Square.

Yes, Pope Francis indicated that he was concerned some people wanted him dead, or at least were preparing for the next Pope’s election, during his recent surgery and recovery in late 2021. He told Jesuits that meetings occurred between prelates who believed his condition was more serious than reported and that they were ready to hold a conclave to choose a new Pope, but he is now well. The Pope shared these comments during a private meeting with Jesuits in September 2021, which was later quoted in the Jesuit magazine La Civilta Catolica. After his surgery, while he was still recovering, he learned that some members of the Church hierarchy were already discussing the possibility of his death and the subsequent election of a new Pope. He acknowledged these meetings and stated, “They were preparing the conclave,” but he also expressed a calm acceptance of the situation, concluding with, “So be it. Thank God, I am well”.

Yes, the Catholic Church is involved in politics, though not in the way that political parties are. Rather than endorsing specific candidates, its involvement is guided by Catholic social and moral teachings and focuses on influencing public policy and shaping the consciences of its followers. The extent of its influence varies by country and issue. Political structure and influence. The Vatican, an independent city-state, and the global network of dioceses and church-affiliated organizations are key to the church’s political involvement.

As a sovereign state, the Vatican engages in diplomatic relations with countries around the world. The Pope is both the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church and a head of state. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and other national bodies release guidance on political issues, such as their document “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship,” which informs Catholics on how to approach elections. Church-affiliated organizations lobby governments on issues including human rights, social welfare, immigration, and religious freedom. The church encourages lay Catholics to participate in democratic life and promote Catholic values in their political choices. The Catholic Church takes strong stances on a host of public policy issues based on its moral and social teachings. The church’s pro-life stance is a central political concern, leading to significant activism against abortion and euthunasia. This has resulted in the church and its affiliated organizations funding anti-abortion efforts, as seen in the 2022 Kansas amendment campaign. The church advocates for the poor, immigrants, and the vulnerable. Issues of fair wages, labor rights, and social reform have long been part of its political agenda it defends religious liberty for itself and other faiths, working to protect the right of believers and religious groups to act on their values in public life. The political influence and engagement of the Catholic Church vary depending on the national context. In the U.S.: Catholic voters do not align with a single party. While the church often forms coalitions with other conservatives on social issues, its positions on economic and social policy don’t always align neatly with either major party’s platform. In Poland: The Catholic Church played a major role in mobilizing opposition to the communist regime. While its political intervention helped establish democracy, it also led to an anti-clerical backlash over time. In Latin America, the church played a crucial role as a protector of civil society against authoritarian rule. The Catholic Church’s political involvement is not about partisan allegiance but about promoting a vision of the common good rooted in its moral teachings. This means it often has “adversaries on both political sides”. While encouraging civic participation, the church must navigate its role carefully, avoiding formal partisan endorsements to maintain its tax-exempt status and its broader moral authority. The forgoing provides a detailed guide to help dive into the new controversy being midwived by the new Pontif in Rome. Trump In Prophecy of the Catholic Church . Pope Leo XIV being an American himself has made very debatable and controversial pronouncements from The Saturday Rest/ Sabbath, American Politics to LGBTQ issues.

@ Sage Senior. Pope Leo XIV is purported to have warned America principally against idolizing President Trump, making open and loud accusations, against Trump surrounding the death of Charles Kirk 😳 Then turns around requesting Americans to forgive Trump and all that.

This video is repeated that the issues may sink. There are no usual News Outlets, none of the media of Rome, Europe and America was present when this horrendous announcement was made by Pope Leo XIV.

It seems like whomever that killed Charle Kirk, must be someone who hates Trump pathologically. American Politics has descended further into a huge evil and devilish divide, that one party is now using the voice of A Pope highly revered personality whom Catholics and religious persons trust and believe to decisive divide and destruction of the very foundation of America. Trump wants to make America Great Again who does not want America Great, he or they are the enemy of America!

How come with all the lives saved from stopping over 7 wars accross the world , Charlie Kirks death has become so elevated by this pontif. Many shootings take place in Churches, Schools and Shops accross America daily, yet this Pope chose Charlie Kirk.

Well I have fact checked this announcement because of the hint that more persons may be killed soon.

@Paramount Tactical, you see and hear how misrepresentation is used to make people hate Charles Kirk….Could this because he and Trump were friends ?

Listen to this FOX NEWS interview clip as we dive deeper into C.Kirks death.

It appears the Security arrangement did not anticipate the kind of deadly shooting that killed Charlie Kirk. The killers may have studied his anticidents plans and movements

Dear Pope was presented to have issues against Trump, but not to descend to the ludicrous level of direct accusation of the President of United States. This is where it becomes troubling.. Why will Americans, try to pull the Pontif into such a cheap, divisive devious plot? What can drive Americans to reduce their nation to this level of hatred?.

If you lie against Trump, you lie against your Country, your Family and yourself! It ought to be a shame!

Listen to this from Andrew Enricez on the whole false players in this game of religious intolerance. In the end, not the Pope or any religious leader, or any Political Leader is the way to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Light to salvation and heaven. America Is Special in the Scheme of God. Let America look up to the God the creator of the Heavens and the Earth.
